i've made it..once again...l.o.l!!
Yesterday my sis asked me to make my most-home-favorite foodie :
steamed moist chocolate cake!
She will be return to her in-laws home tonight, and she's hoping that i can make one for her so she shall be able to bring it along for her in-laws family.
I was a bit tired, but after looked at my sis "muka kesian", finally i've decided to make it. Moreover, it's a long time since i've made it for the last time. I remember, it was while Hari Raya AidilAdha.
And..
i've made it again last night!!
I think i've made it well. Its pretty delicious. Yes it is Just the way it should be.
I do remember, the first time i've made it. It was not good at all. The taste was quite good but not the texture. No one were fond of it. Me..as well. I've felt down at a moment, and gave up though. But a bunch of thanks to my mom because, when i was on bad moment, she's still encouraged me, and asked me to try one more time. And, because i really really really loves chocolate cake, and i've decide to make it again. I don't want to be a person that give up so easily because i think i can do it. If my mom believes in me, so shouldn't i??
Haha..that is the story about half year before.
Now i think, i really good at it.
This is my own recipe..after a bit modification..
It is not that hard..it just either you really want to or not.
What you need
1 cup of butter
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of evaporated milk
1/2 cup of sweetened milk
3 Eggs
1 1/4 cup of plain flour
1 cup of cocoa powder van hauten (other brand also can)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
What to do!
1. Combine sugar,evaporated milk, sweetened milk, cocoa powder and butter in a saucepan.
2. Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved and butter is melted, and all mixed well. off fire and keep warm.
3. Sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda.
4. Beat the eggs until eggs are evovled (hehe.."kembang". am i rite??) in large mixing bowl. About 20 minutes..Agak2 la..
5. Then add the cocoa mixture into the beaten eggs. Mix it well.
6. Pour the flour over eggs+ cocoa mixture and stir till well mix (cake batter should be runny).
6. Heat up the steamer.
7. Pour the butter into prepared pan and place the pans into the steamer and cover the top of the pan loosely with a piece of aluminium foil.
8. Steam over medium heat for 1 1/4 hours.
9. Cool the cake in pan before turning out for further decoration.
Chocolate topping
1/2 cup of sweetened milk
1 tsp Vanilla essence
1/2 cup butter
1/6 cup Cocoa powder,sifted
2 sp of condensed milk
1. Combine the sifted cocoa powder,condensed milk, sweetened milk, and butter.
2. Stir over low heat till thicken (stirring all the time).
3. Add in vanilla essence.
4. Cool the chocolate topping a little before spreading on the cake.
If i can do it...so can you.
